Talk Me Up

I’m tired and cold

Wanna be cool and bold

I’m anxious and sad

Wanna be alright and mad. 

I want to look intimidating

And put together

But right now I’m just weakened

By cold weather

Huddled up and shivering

Not standing up and facing

Whoever stands in my way

Will move aside I say 

For no one takes kindly

To a woman who does not stray

From her path

From her goal

Takes her aim

And strikes her foes

Walks forward

Needs no bow

Just standing there she will show

That she is strong and that she knows.
