Artist Statement

          Under this alias, I create an identity for my passion. I delve into the morally grey and explore humanity, which is almost never black and white. Experimenting with texture, I represent both personal and escapist stories one can get lost in. My aim is to portray duality within a contradicting space, to make viewers question right from wrong and whether there is really a big difference between the two. The depth and view of how I express myself and craft my art is the focus I choose to maintain. I am an artist and poet with a future to build.

          The majority of my poems stem from strong emotion and personal experience which influence the diction in these poems depending on how long I wait to write. There is no outside influence I can currently recognize. I can say with certainty however, that my main reason for writing is so that I do not go insane.

         Inspired by the Baroque Era and Realism, I paint high contrast scenes to represent people and their personalities using a generally warm color palette on canvas.  My focus is on portraiture, be that of a group, or singular being, human or animal. I aim to explore the idea of how differently people can be perceived when all their skeletons come out of the closet. Are we all truly good people or do we believe that because we know nothing of each other? Though my emphasis is in oil painting, I regularly explore any other mediums I can get my hands on. I have no qualms with getting my gloves dirty in a new project.
