TW: violent and graphic language, mention of violence, SA, and CSA

As a woman,

I have less rights than a corpse, whose organs they can’t take unless consented to before.

So if I was SA’d, i probably just regret it, and those clothes were just asking for

That man will most likely only spend a day in court

If it even gets that far, “we wouldn’t want his life to fall apart.”

As a woman

I am treated worse as a human than a dying person with a donor card

Unless there's a fetus involved.

But even then.

Nothing else matters except the incubator that is my uterus that they’ll probably mar.

Just to get it out sooner

So what if it kills me, to carry it to term

Or if it’s already dead. If I die with poisoned organs, then it was just my turn

And if I live and it dies, there's no telling how that’ll go

I could be called a murderer, and put on death row.

As a woman

There are more restrictions put on me than it takes to own a life ending weapon

Given to just anyone who answers a few questions

More if ands and buts on our bodies than locks on that cabinet your kids can open to take down lobbies

But what if I want contraception?

Expensive and fertility altering, with symptoms lists 50x the size of the box

Still blaming us for being hysterical when expected to pump ourselves with hormones

Or going through screaming and faint worthy processes just to insert it with no pain meds because

“It’s not that bad”

Oh but when making them for men, they stopped

Making lotions and other noninvasive forms,

Because of headaches, acne, mood swings and more.

We as women

Are judged and shamed by doctors and politicians

They are the ones making the decisions

Not us, no rights to our autonomy

I should want children, even if I can’t care for them properly.

What of my husband, what will he think?

If I choose to make that decision, they’ll send me a shrink

Attempting to convince me otherwise, demonising our very lives.

Yes, I must carry a child even if I was a child myself

Taken advantage of by a man

And be continuously retraumatized by the actions of its “father”

Even if I was nine.

Because that’s the way I was designed, so it’s fine.

And what is there to say of the lead and arsenic in our bodies

Found in our pads and tampons, and whatever else only God sees

As women, we are not treated properly. We work more to earn less

And are expected to not falter when the world tells us we are worthless.

You take our rights away then expect us to serve you like you don’t hurt us.

We remain mirthless.
